In space
In the rocket I go
zoomed past mars
space is horrifying u.f.o's zipped past
I stood on Mars
I went to the rocket
I splintered through a meteorite.
I was afraid
the sun is HOT!
and melts my rocket.By Skylar
Katie-Ana's space poem
Space
Shining sun and twinkling stars
Why oh why are they so high?
Jumping astronauts gliding around.
Mercury, Earth and the moon as well.
Rockets zooming past me.
And the shooting stars bowling up my eyes.
Beautiful and wonderful
Planets up in the sky.
I wish I was near
with myself in the sky
So high.

Accelerating space ship
Zooming all around
Beeping buttons and flashing lights
Boosting boosters and
Zooming stars twirling around.

Conner's space explanation
Have you ever wondered how the solar system works? The larger the planet the more the gravity. Since the SUN is the biggest it means that the sun pulls the planets towards it. All the planets pull away from the sun. And that’s how the system works.
Jess's explanation.
The Solar System
The sun is in the middle of the solar system. The sun is the biggest in the solar system. There are 8 planets in our solar system they are called Mercury, Venus,Mars, Juptiter,Saturn,Uranus and Neptune . All the planets orbit the sun .All the planets go diffrent speeds .Jupiter is the biggest of all of the planets. The sun has a magnetic force called gravity. The sun tryies to pull all the planets towards it . But the planets have there own magnetic force and try to pull away from the sun. So in the end all 8 planets get stuck half way.
Chloe's explanation.
The Solar System
The sun is in the middle of the Solar System. It is made out of very hot gases. There are eight planets in the Solar System. They go round the sun. These are the names of the planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The sun tries to pull them in with its magnetic force. But they try to pull away. That is why they are at that distance. The planets pull and they have a force to try and pull away from the sun.

Emma's space poem
Zip zoom
Up in space
Wandering in our golden rocket
Zipping past twinkling stars landed on a planet
Oh just mountainy mars
Beautiful comets all around.

Emilee's space poem
Space
Would
you get there
by catapult. No that
would be a fault. You need
need a rocket. You wouldn't
even get past through the atmosphere.
Aliens are floating all around twirling
swirling. It would be nice to go to bed
in space . UFO`s you never know where
they would go. Mercury Venus and Mars
they would zoom upon the stars . I
wonder
if its cool or
warm or hot . I would like to go to
space. Space is awesome!

Renae's explanation
The sun is
a star and is hot. There are eight planets and they are going right now.
Planets are orbiting.
The sun
pulls the planets together so they do not go away. Planets have their own force
to keep them near to the sun.

The solar system
How the Solar System works
The sun is in the middle of the eight planets. The sun has its own strong force. The sun is a star it is much bigger than most the other stars.
All of the eight planets are still orbiting. Orbit means it circles around the sun their own paths. The planets have their own speeds.
There are other things that orbit like asteroids, meteors and dust.
Some planets like Earth, Saturn and Jupiter have moons that orbit them.
The planets have their own force as well as the sun.
They have their own force so the planets do not stick.
They orbit because the sun has its own force as well as the planets.
So they pull away from the sun. So that is how the solar system works.
